Keeping Memories Alive

I’m sure we all have a cupboard, box (or more than one box in my case) of photos stored away. Even though I’m a scrapbooker, I still have many many photos that I love to look at on a more regular basis. So I thought I’d share with you an idea of mine.

It actually came about as when the little house, was our holiday home, I wanted to keep photos of old memories of how people enjoyed this house, back when it was Nan and Grandads out in the open, for everyone to see.

I still use it but now put our everyday photos in it. Recently, Simon’s mum gave him a box of her old photos, so I keep them in here.  Its fun just to sit and flick through and now I change them around more often.  Friends and Family, love sitting having a look, and it still brings back lovely memories for family members who enjoyed our home when Nan and Grandad lived here.

  1. Such a lovely idea. Photos are so often filled away and we dont often get them out. It reminds me of an idea I heard of for a memorh jar. Everytime you have a nice day or something makes you smile you write about it on a small piece of paper and place it in the jar to read at the end of the year xx
