Who am I?

If you’re reading my blog, you may be wondering who I am.  Well, let me tell you a little bit about me, and how we’re coming to live in our little house.

So let me introduce myself, I’m Sandra and have been married to Simon for nearly 30 years. We have two of the naughtiest little Lakeland Terriers, which collectively are known as the bears, but I’ll admit, I have been known to call them a few other choice names, but oh they’re gorgeous.

Our home has been in Simon’s family for many years, as it used to belong to his grandparents.  In fact, one of his aunts was actually born in the house and Simon’s mum went into labour with Simon in the back bedroom (which is now our bathroom).  So you can imagine, how many happy memories the house holds, especially as Nan had the most amazing way of making everyone feel at home there, so I’m hoping I can continue in her footsteps.

We bought the house a few years from his Mum (after Nan passed), but sadly the house had fallen into neglect, and although was liveable and we did try too make it our weekend home, it did need a major refurbishment.

So we moved out and put furniture into storage and set about bringing it into the 21st century.

Then last year, Simon took early retirement, and we decided to sell up our main home in Surrey and downsize, and move full time into our little house.  Well, its sure been a journey, and I’m so excited to see how this new journey continues.

Apologies for the Christmas photo, but I thought you’d like to see who my family is, and this is latest photo of us.
